What We Do
Every great partnership starts with the right direction.
Owning, riding, training, or running a business around horses comes with more decisions than most people expect — and most of those decisions don't come with a manual. That's true whether you've been in the industry for decades or you just signed up for your first lesson last month. The Riding Line LLC exists to make those decisions easier. We offer expert, independent equine consulting built on real, hands-on experience across every side of the horse world: the barn aisle, the show ring, the vet's office, and the business behind it all.
Whether you're a first-time rider trying to figure out what gear you actually need, a new horse owner learning to manage your first horse, or a barn owner untangling a scheduling mess, our job is to meet you exactly where you are.
A Different Kind of Guidance
Most horse owners and riders find themselves piecing together advice from a dozen different places — bits of guidance here, a forum thread there, and a lot of figuring it out as you go. That's especially true when you're just starting out — there's no shortage of opinions on what tack to buy, how often to deworm, or what a "good" boarding situation looks like, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed before you've even gotten comfortable in the saddle.
The Riding Line brings a steadier kind of support to that process: someone who has actually lived the full picture, from working hands-on at real farms and on the show circuit, to coordinating client care and operations at a busy equine veterinary practice, to running the administrative and logistical side of the business. That means when you come to us with a question — whether it's your very first horse-related purchase or your tenth competitive season — you're getting guidance shaped by firsthand experience, not a generic playbook.
Who We Work With
New and beginner riders who are just getting started and want a knowledgeable, judgment-free person to ask the questions that feel too basic to ask anywhere else — what gear is actually worth buying, what to expect as a new rider, and how to feel confident instead of overwhelmed.
First-time and new horse owners learning to manage a single horse for the first time — care routines, seasonal health planning, and the everyday decisions that come with having a horse depend on you.
Horse owners and recreational riders who want a steady, knowledgeable second opinion as they continue learning — someone to help track seasonal care needs, talk through decisions, and build ongoing confidence in day-to-day horse management.
Competitive riders, junior riders, and amateur competitors who need help staying organized and accountable through a competition season — show entries, travel paperwork, a realistic training and show schedule, and a plan that doesn't fall apart the moment life gets busy.
Trainers and barn owners who are excellent horsemen and horsewomen but need support on the operational side — client scheduling, billing systems, onboarding new boarders or clients, and the day-to-day logistics that keep a barn running smoothly.
Anyone in a moment of decision — buying a first horse, relocating a horse out of state, preparing for an emergency, or simply facing a wall of gear with no idea what they actually need.
How We Work
Every relationship starts the same way: by listening. No two horses, riders, or barns are alike, and the right guidance for a brand-new rider looks nothing like the right guidance for a barn managing thirty horses. We take the time to understand your specific goals, experience level, and questions before offering direction — because real solutions come from understanding the whole picture, not applying a template.
From there, we offer a few different ways to work together:
Ongoing memberships for horse owners, competitive riders, and barn owners who want consistent, monthly support and planning
One-time consulting sessions for a single decision point — a new horse purchase, gear and product guidance for a beginner rider, a season of shows to plan, or getting a first horse's care routine set up right
Larger projects for barns and businesses ready to overhaul a system — client management, billing, operations — from the ground up
You don't have to already know exactly what you need. Part of our job is helping you figure that out — whether that means a single session to answer your questions or an ongoing membership as you keep learning and growing.
Our Philosophy
We believe every horse owner and rider — not just professionals, not just the experienced, not just the people who already know all the terminology — deserves access to real, practical guidance. We believe the best advice comes from someone who has actually done the work, not just studied it. And we believe that behind every confident beginner, every well-run barn, and every thriving horse, there's a clear plan and the right support to see it through.
That's what The Riding Line is here to provide.
Experience. Strategy. Horsemanship.
