Meet The Owner: Taylor Therrien

Taylor grew up in the small town of Haddam, CT, where her love of horses took root at an early age. She spent her childhood working for lessons at a local farm, developing not only into a skilled rider but a fiercely dedicated worker with a genuine drive to learn everything she could about the industry — a work ethic that would go on to define her entire career.

That drive led her to Centenary University in New Jersey, where she earned her degree in Equine Business Management, graduating Magna Cum Laude. It was there that she built the foundation for what would become a well-rounded, deeply practical understanding of the horse industry from the business side to the day-to-day realities of running a farm.

From there, Taylor went to work for several large private professional farms, traveling the East Coast horse show circuit and following the winter season south to Florida. These years gave her hands-on experience across every facet of the industry: horse management, show preparation, staff coordination, client communication, and the countless behind-the-scenes details that keep a farm running smoothly. She didn't just ride and work — she studied how successful operations were built and made it her mission to understand the "why" behind every system.

Taylor's expertise doesn't stop at the barn door. She has also worked with legal teams, veterinary practices, and equine retail businesses, giving her a rare, well-rounded perspective that spans the different sides of the horse world. Few professionals bring this breadth of firsthand experience to the table, and it's exactly what allows Taylor to see the full picture when she's helping someone solve a problem.

Over the years, she has helped countless employers, coworkers, friends, and clients get a handle on their situations — building systems, solving problems, and creating structure where things once felt overwhelming. Whether it's a rider trying to better understand their horse, a family trying to start the riding journey for their kids, a farm owner trying to organize daily operations, or a barn manager trying to streamline communication and workflows, Taylor has the experience and versatility to meet people exactly where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

It's this combination — top-tier education, wide-ranging hands-on experience, and a genuine passion for helping people succeed — that makes Taylor uniquely equipped to guide anyone, at any level, toward a better understanding of their horses, their operations, and themselves.

This is exactly why Taylor founded The Riding Line LLC: to bring all of that knowledge, experience, and passion together under one mission — helping clients and horses alike thrive. The Riding Line was built on the belief that every horse owner, rider, and barn deserves access to real, hands-on expertise and guidance shaped by someone who has actually lived it, from the show ring to the barn aisle to the business side of the industry.

Taylor understands that no two clients, horses, or farms are exactly alike, and that the best solutions come from taking the time to truly listen and understand each unique situation. She approaches every conversation with patience, honesty, and a genuine desire to help. At the end of the day, her goal is simple: to see clients and horses alike feeling confident, supported, and set up to thrive.

When she's not at the barn, Taylor is likely in the kitchen — she's an avid baker and chef — or spending time with her dog, Murphy, who happily holds the title of world's best dog-mom's dog. She also enjoys running food-themed 5Ks with her friends.

Taylor can't wait to meet you and your horse, and to get started on this journey together with The Riding Line LLC!
